hi i have a peach front conure named Julius and ever since I got him I have really gotten to love birds and while doing research on my conure I started looking into the next bird i would like to get and I have fallen in love with the greys!! I do not have mine yet but am over half there in saving up for him/her and am now looking for a breeder. But.. in the mean time i wanted to talk to some other grey owners about a few concerns and or questions that i have :)

Hi gabbysue, we certainly do have grey owners here. Read the many threads in the different rooms and if you still have questions, ask away! We do have an Other Birds Room where you can tell as about your Peach Frond Conure if you like. Welcome to the GreyForums!!

Hello GabbySue and welcome to our family, so glad to hear you have decided to add a grey to your life, it will be so enriched by his/her presence.

I started out with a sun conure then found myself wanting a larger bird, lo and behold a grey came into my life, they are amazing creatures as you will know when you get to know yours and you are doing the right thing to find out all you can before you bring one into your life as they are not like just any bird or a conure for that matter, know what all is involved in owning a grey as we hate to see them end up in rehomed situations.

Please read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do ask those questions and we will help you in any way we can.

hi gabbysue! i started out with a peach front conure as well! mine is named athena and she just turned 8 years old! we just rehomed a 2 1/2 year old grey named honey. we're waiting for the dna results though before we decide on a new name. we didn't do dna on athena until she was 2 years old and then found out she's really a he, hahaha!!! oh well, he's still our little girl! i'd love to hear more about julius! athena thinks she's the "biggest" bird ever created and hasn't quite figured out what exactly honey is, yet!
