Morana
I got my Zakica when he was a bit older than 3 months and he was so clumsy it could melt your heart. Unfortunatelly I don't have any photos from that period :-(
Pandora
they were sorry that you have no cards on your bird when he was a baby. I forgot to take a very short one when my dog was a puppy so since then I take a lot of photos.

birdhouse
Zakica looks pretty happy. Love that second shot. Is the ring in the third pic a section of tree trunk w/the middle cut out?
Birdnut
Welcome to the forum, Morana and Zak. Zak is certainly a beautiful bird. Birdhouse: I believe that ring is what is called a "birdie bagel." They come in all sizes. They are made of compressed paper and are good for climbing and chewing. Acappella
Zak is beautiful, and looks busy and happy. Welcome to the forum.
Morana
Thank you all for kind words:-) And yes, the toy in the picture is birdie bagel bought here http://www.windycityparrot.com/Birdie-Bagels-Extra-Large-7-In-Paper-Ring.asp and it is his favorite. He likes shreddable toys best. PS: he also likes throwing socks out of the basket. When finished with socks, he throws basket on the floor ;-)
birdhouse
I didn't realize they made big ones. I got a few little ones that didn't last, at all. They all ended up as mush in the water dishes so I didn't replace them. Maybe I'll try some bigger ones. Thanks
Morana
I don't put them in cage (because they would end up as mush in the water dishes ). Instead I bought 100% natural rope so I put the rings on strings so Zakica can swing on them or just tear them apart. Also, that way, the paper ring is always in front of him and I don't need to worry whether it fell on the floor and got dirty. Also, that way I don't need to constantly pick the rings up.. ;-)

Morana
Thank you :-) It is not yet great because I see I still have soooooo much to learn about grey world. We are getting there. Awsome picture of your grey :-)
birdhouse
No matter how hard you try, or how many years you spend trying, there will always be "soooooo much to learn about grey world"!! They are endlessly fascinating, intelligent & complex creatures. And they grow & develop & change continuously. I think all of us are very fortunate to have the opportunity to share our lives with them.
Morana
I know there will always be soooooo much to learn about grey world but I was referring on my fault I haven't found (for example) this forum before. I know that because of my financial situation I couldn't and I still can't afford my precious birdie even some essential things (on a regular base) and I see in US many things (for birds) are so common as buying a loaf of bread. Here in Croatia we don't have 98% of the stuff that birds should/must have. The books and sites I found and read before I got him (now I see) just scratched the surface and in real life lacked to provide (soooo much of) essential information. Maybe, if I knew all the information I know now I wouldn't even have a bird because I couldn't provide all the care and stuff he deserves and needs. I am so sad that my Zak grew deprived of so much. He lacked basic quality of life :-(
