She will step up on to both hands but will always turn around on my right hand so my body is always to her right. Guest Posted November 30, 2010 Share Posted November 30, 2010 My CAG was a right-hand-only girl for months and months. If I forgot and presented my left hand, CHOMP! She would fluff up and carry on, growling. Well, it turns out the previous owner is a lefty and now I wonder if that person was not thumping my girl with her left hand. Little by little I would carefully present my left hand, especially bribing her with a pomegranate seed or something else delicious, and she slowly came around. katana600 Posted November 30, 2010 Share Posted November 30, 2010 I hadn't thought about this before, but Kopi would only step up to my right hand and he liked for me to curl my arm close to my chest to steady himself against my body. It may have been what he learned, but it may also have been since I am right handed, that was the "stronger" hand. Thanks for sharing, it helped me to recall pleasant memories.
