Rescue/Sanctuary

Hello, now I have got my mind set on a African grey (whether it be TAG or a CAG will be up to which parrot chooses me!) but now I have one more decision hurdle, a rescue or a breeder. (Leaning towards the breeder here). But while I am deciding, does any body here know of a bird rescue in Maryland or in the east coast? I would like to see both a rescue and a breeder before making a final decision.

Here is a site you might want to contact but you will have to take classes and they will require a home visit before they will accept you for adopting any bird but no harm in looking at the site, they are based in North Carolina:

Hello, no, I have not had an African grey before (or any other bird). Yes, that will be fine to take a class and have a home inspection for the birds sake. The site much appreciated, thanks all.
