Connie Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Has anyone ever heard of, or seen this before? This is a picture of a White Tailed CAG that I accidently found on the internet.

Post edited by: Connie, at: 2007/08/22 07:07
danmcq Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 It must be a genetic variation similar to the Red factor...the white just kept going and going....?
lovemyGreys Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 A lovely looking grey i believe known as a blue mutation with the white tail
loviechick Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Probably the same genetic factor that causes other animals to have a bit of albino in them! Interesting!
judygram Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 It is isn't it, very unique, just like the albino animals you see occasionally, very pretty with pink eyes.
Connie Posted August 24, 2007 Author Posted August 24, 2007 Very unique, but the more I look at it, I'm not so sure I would want one...I love the brilliant red tail on my birds. No offence to that bird, but red isn't as boring as white.
Guest Monique Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 I don't know why the tail is white either. I agree with the mutation concept. Or a doctored photo? But I have no idea!!
judygram Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 I doubt it is a doctored photo, but with computers nowadays I guess anything is possible. I think it is just a genetic mutation, like the albinos.
lovemyGreys Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 I have spoke to my friend Lesley who breeds greys & its definitely a genetic mutation Well i do think it's lovely & very rare.
Connie Posted August 24, 2007 Author Posted August 24, 2007 It's not a tampered picture, I blew it up to check. I doctor pictures quite often, and can tell the difference in almost every case.
Connie Posted August 24, 2007 Author Posted August 24, 2007 You can, all you need is photoshop and take the tutorials on the internet. Play with the program, it's fun. This is the same bird, doctored with a red tail. Just a quick job, not the greatest. judygram wrote: I'd like to be able to "doctor" up photos, especially mine.
