Connie
I finally got a picture of my new baby. It hatched August 10th, so it is 10 days old in this picture. I found this link to help me understand where my baby is in the growing process, and just thought I'd pass it on to all of you. It is just a scrapbook of a Scarlett Macaw, from egg to going home with new owners. http://www.happyhookbill.com/fizgrow/bby1.htm

Tari
Please keep us up to date on your baby. Are you thinking of names yet? looking at cages? Ready to spend 100 bucks a month on toys? lol But for real keep us updated. Babies are so darn cute.
Connie
Thanks guys. I already have a cage, I had bought it for Dalra, but it was too big. I bought her a new one and will use this for the baby. I haven't got a name yet until I find out the sex, sometime the end of Sept., but it will be another name from the little rascals. probably either Buckwheat for a boy, and Miss Crabtree for a girl. lol I hope it's a boy just for the name. judygram
The baby is adorable, Connie, so precious and tiny. Thanks for sharing the link to the macaw pictures, that was very fascinating to look at how it developed from the egg to the full grown bird. Guest Monique
That's so awesome you keep getting updated pics!! We have had a Green Wing Macaw for 10 years and love him very much - Macaws are wonderful birds (and I think the blue/gold are traditionally even easier to live with than the green wings). Connie
I can't believe how much a bird can change in only 7 days. Here is my new baby at 48 days old.

Post edited by: Connie, at: 2007/09/30 00:
