CRYROLFE Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Here is Pepper's cage in his new home. His window is a North window so not sure if he'll get enough light. Here's his favorite hangout on his porch.... Here's poor Keegan, now in the parlor where there isn't as much light. I plan on getting them lights, but really have no room for the strip light kind. What about the dome types that I can hang from chains over their cages? I know it'll get really dark in the winter and I hate to leave the blinds open in case it gets chilly that way.

Ray P Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Love your birds cage . I have one clam shell and two play tops and we have lights that hang over the top. If you check also with a good pet store they often have lights that you might beable to use.
pearllyn Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 You can get little UV lamps which you can move around - they're very handy and don't take up much room but provide the full spectrum.
judygram Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 I'm lucky that the room my fids are in is a big room with windows in one end that take up most of the wall so they get lots of natural light but that doesn't take the place of full spectrum lighting which is very beneficial in the winter months.
