Beautiful Lorikeets!!

Yesterday my dad and I made a trip to the zoo to see the Lorikeet exhibit. They are absolutely beautiful!! There were 53 of them in this awesome enclosure and you could go in and give them nectar. They are super friendly, amazing little clowns! We had a great time, my dad shares my passion for birds Yes guys, I stripped & clothes went straight to the washer & I showered before getting anywhere near Biscotti & I told my dad to do the same when he got home!

I would love to be able to visit such a place but don't think we have anything similar in our area, thanks for sharing the pics and I look forward to seeing some videos when you get them posted.

Judy you can come visit me and meet my 'keets. They love sticking their long wiggly tongues in noses and ears, and cannot resist preening wet hair.

Judy, they have an exhibit they bring in from May thru Sept., then they move them to FL for the winter. I am going to go again next year!

 

Azzie, how many do you have? Do you keep them indoors or out? In a group they were very noisy, how are they at home? I would LOVE to have a big enclosure like the zoo has, it is so awesome to go in and just be with the birds!!
