danmcq
Most all of us use 100% natural Aloe Juice, not from concentrate. YOu can buy it in one gallon jugs from walgreens, walmart etc. The misting is done using it straight from the bottle full strength poured into a misty bottle. For actual exposed and irritated areas, 100 Percent natural Aloe Gel can be apply which will soak into the skin and sooth it.
judygram
Dan is exactly right, the juice is used straight from the bottle and the jel is for minor cuts and irritations, both are bird safe if ingested.

Cheshire Cat
Cathy, I brought some aloe vera for my bird and you have to make sure it's 100% juice. I saw in the shop (which was actually a herb and well being shop for humans) two versions; one was 97% and the other 100% but a little more expensive. Only get 100%. I tend to use 50% water and 50% juice, but I think it's up to the owner's discretion.
