Picking Nose ?

Oscar seems to be scratching a lot and picking his nose pretty often, a few times daily.

 

Is this normal, should I be concerned?

Maybe the 100% aloe would help?

I don't know about the "nose" picking but Ana Grey just went through a spell of wanting head scratches constantly because she had oodles of pin feathers coming out. All is back to normal now.

First, have a light nearby. Get ahold of your bird. Put the bird about 15-20 from your bird and look into the nostril just behind the edge. Check and see if you see any redness or irritations. Whether there's some irritation or not, use a damp cloth or paper napkin and wipe off the area and don't dry it because more than likely, the area is already dry. Do this about 3 to 4 times during the day even if you don't see your bird scratching the area. Do it for 3 to 4 days. The problem should be solved. many times tiny particles of dander/dust get in and get stuck because of the moisture in the nostril.

 

PS-----don't stick any aloe gel or aloe juice up your birds nose. That material is for exterior use. Aloe gel will make more things stick in the nostril/nostrils.
