Ok here's the thing... I'm finding little feathers at the end of Georgie's cage everyday. I'm not sure if he is plucking, I don't think he is but then again I can't be sure as i never see him pluck out a feather i just see him chewing on them so i'm not sure if they are falling out while preening and he chews them then or if he's plucking. The ends do looked chewed but that could be from chewing on them after they fall out right?

Right now I am finding feathers galore in my fids' cages from my canary to my eclectus (who is a plucker) but they are from molting. Ana Grey also is constantly preening my hair so I suppose she thinks I'm molting too!!!!! 36_1_21.gif

Those are baby tail feathers according to th color of the tips. . There's no more blood supply left. Either the feathers will naturally fall out or the bird will help them along as far as getting rid of them. The same thing happens with flight feathers and those things can happen at any time of the year.. There's no chew marks on those feathers.
