lovethatgrey
Emma must think she must have gone to African grey heaven. She's never seen so many almonds and nutriberries in her cage before..The Fancy Boutique is actually having a SALE right now and I've included their link at the bottom. She worked at this toy for 35 minutes... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nV7CLU0W2Vg ch.store.yahoo.net/cgi-bin/nsearch?catalog=yhst-77265773326012&query=buffet%20ball&vwcatalog=yhst-77265773326012&.autodone=http://fancyparrotboutique.com/ Edited June 19, 2010 by lovethatgrey

judygram
I have got to get one of those for Josey, I think it is so neat and I love the little tray underneath the ball to catch some of the pieces that fall out so they can be retrieved for savoring every morsel. katana600
Thanks for posting this video of Emma playing with her buffet ball. I had gotten two of them for Java and Kopi, put them in the pantry of goodies a month ago and forgot to get them out. This design is so much better than the first acrylic ball we had and was easy to fill. Both birds enjoyed their treats all day today and I wouldn't have enjoyed watching them had it not been for you to remind me. Thanks so much. Malikah
Kito is a brat! She figured out how to get the "nut" off the bottom. It doesn't matter what goodies I put in it, all she wants to do is take it apart, chew on the "nut" and play with the metal rod. I'm afraid she will hurt herself swinging that heavy metal rod around so I had to take it away. Maybe I can string it on a thick piece of leather, otherwise I'm going to have to get rid of it. What a shame, seems some of our greys are just too smart for their own good!
Luvparrots
Ana Grey has a ball similar to the one in Emma's video. She enjoys really enjoys it.
chelseaB
Biscotti figured out how to get the nut off the bottom in about 5 min!! Luckly, I had another kabob stick with a metal nut, that he so far hasn't figured out how to get off, so I just put the plastic ball & tray on that one & he has been playing with it all day & it is still intact!! pearllyn
Well, Alfie does enjoy her buffet ball, but unfortunately, she's another nut nut!! Whatever I put in there, she just takes the nut off the bottom instantly now. I've noticed that the place where i got this now sells a similar version, but one that mounts onto the bars of the cage, with the nut on the top instead of the bottom - might be better. pearllyn
P.s. Do you know Adina, that your videos of the buffet ball are featured on the Northern Parrots website on the buffet ball page!!! I watched them and thought - I know those birds!!!!
Malikah
I threaded a 1/4" piece of leather through Kito's and now she can't take it apart any more. I also like to stuff it full of shredded paper and then just stick a few treats in the holes. She has it completely empty within 15 20 minutes.
