thxango40
My 15 week old CAG Oliver doesn't seem to make much noise. He only makes a few baby sounds in the morning and a few different sounds at night. We keep waiting for him to find his voice and explore some new sounds, but we haven't heard a "new" sound in weeks.... When did your grey start to vocalize? Jayd
Glad to hear from you, it's quiet here on the weekends. Don't worry about you baby talking right now, They usually don't start to really talk untill around a year old on average. Just keep talking like your doing, and I know your doing good. One day you might write a thread, "How do I get them to shut up?" LoL Thanks Jayd
thxango40
Hi Jayd, Nice to hear from you too. It's not so much talking I'm concerned about, its his lack of any kind of noise. He coos a little at night when we put his cover on his cage, but that's about it. He'll go 10 hours a day without a peep.
JillyBeanz
15 weeks is merely a fledgling! He's unsure about his surroundings - you've probably got a shy little one there. Make sure you make whistling noises and other noises to him - he'll pick a one he likes and will use it as his own. Harvey can still sit for ages and not make a noise (few and far between mind!) and it's these moments I crave!!! Don't worry Oliver will sharp let you know he's around soon - just be careful of what you wish for :)
KHAN
Kaan started saying simple things at about 3-4 months and by a years old he was talking all the time. Enjoy the peace while you can! lol
Elvenking
You are going to get to hear more than your share of noises. Issac was still pretty quiet and only making one particular sound between 10-15 weeks...with little gremlin sessions for time to time. He is six months now and he still only has a few noises he likes to go through. But then he will totally amaze me with an array of sounds I have never heard before, and sound like he is making attempts at talking. Don't worry at all, it's still early yet. Capster59
yep my Syd seems to be the same as Isaac above,,6 months old now was quite quiet when he came home for a while,,now whistles a ton, makes birdy noises and the last few weeks we can now tell he is trying to say hello,,,and some other things we cannot make out,,but definitely is trying to say more things as he has a deeper voice when he trys to talk.. also has started a beeping noise which sounds like the microwave etc.
