What to do with Feathers! Here's what we do with feather's from our fids in Arizona. Wonderful gifts to give and keepsakes of our beloved birds...Simple ones are easy to make..... Jayd Note: I didn't make these!!

Beautiful!! Nice work, we save some of the larger ones for friends who costume build and I have seen some feather mosaics done to form a scene or a picture of a the bird it's self.

I love them! At least you've got a bit colour to share around - mine would all be a drab grey colour! Harvey doesn't share his bum feathers very often - so mine would be a bit insipid!!! Great idea though (for the crafty souls amongst us)!!!

I think next molt will see them lose the more beautiful red tail feathers Jill. Argyle's tail feathers are quite long and stunning colours. We saved a few (cos I'm sentimental lol) but now we collect them for a friend of ours who uses them for fishing, apparently the fish really go for them!

A few members of our bird club make jewelry out of the feathers, especially earrings and they make very pretty ones too, they collect some from the other members to get a good variety of colors and sizes.

my mom made me a necklace from two of jacques's feathers once... i'll add a picture next time i happen to go upstairs, where it's located.
