JillyBeanz
Clare ~ I go to Jolley's (they're nationwide I think) - they do a great mix with seeds, nuts, bits, pieces, dried fruit, chillies etc. It is very reasonable and you you only pay for what amount you want. Harvey loves it (though it is restricted due to the seed content).
judygram
I know that some of you UK members get your stuff from Northern Parrot as I have seen it mentioned, just another suggestion.
eubankclare
Thank you both for this, I have looked at afew sites but they all offer so many different things I didnt know what was best. Wether to buy dried fruit and bits seperate so they can have more of these or buy it all mixed. OH so many options LOL
JJsHoney
I was having the same trouble when I had to buy seed mix for Rene, I ended up going to a few different pet shops and looking at that the different by weight options they have, I ended up choosing something that had no sunflower seed and a bunch of nuts, shelled peanuts, I add maybe a dozen or so sunflower seeds to his mix. I'm not sure if it is available all over but it is ABBA 1300 Seed Mix I am also going to start adding some banana chips and some other dehydrated veggies to it. now that I know he will eat them
JillyBeanz
I don't use Northern Parrots, (being strange as I live in the most Northern county!!), but like Judy said, loads of UK members do, but I use Midland Parrots (http://www.midlandparrots.com) - where I brokered a 5% discount for members of our forum (enter the code MP00100)! They're about the same - and in fact, I think they use the same suppliers, as I've often received stuff marked "Northern Parrots" when I've ordered from Midland Parrots! eubankclare
My word!! they have loads of different types to choose from - Which do you use?
JillyBeanz
Ha Ha! It's trial and error - you'll sharp find out what they do and don't like! Something with balanced amounts of seed, nuts and fruit will do the trick - not an overload of seeds though!
Luvparrots
I mix my own seed mix that my grey and ekkie seem to like real well. I just order on line some hulled safflower seed, cracked corn, white/red millet, and hulled oats and combine them all. I do the same with dried fruits. This way I can choose the ones that my birds like and will eat and not have to pay for all the "filler or garbage stuff".
eubankclare
MMM I might try that, i wonder if my pet shop will let me take a sample and then when i know what he/she likes I can order online cheaper LOL
JJsHoney
the one that I went to did! but it was only a tiny amount of each lol
Elvenking
I am currently trying the Ultimate Blend from Bird Paradise...it's more of a healthy blend of seed alternates...but Issac seems to like some of it. Here is a link. http://www.mybirdstore.com/product.cgi?group=232972&product=232973

reggieroo
This is what I feed Murphy on, the parrot diet. It seemed to be the best seed mix with low sunflower content available in the UK & a good price too. http://www.tidymixdiets.com/products.htm He also has this in the evenings http://shop.robharvey.com/natures-harvest-tropical-soak-mix-5kg-smsa3355-69-p.asp Rob Harvey also do what looks to be a good seed mix called African grey select http://shop.robharvey.com/african-grey-select-10kg-hsmp00310-843-p.asp & an even more expensive one called African grey natural but it's twice the price  I'm thinking of trying the African grey select from Rob Harvey for Murphy as he has gone super fussy with his tidymix & perfers to eat a cheap mix I got from a local place.
