Guest mykisum
about their birds. My Dusty is 5 1/2 years old. She is a female. She has a huge vocabulary. She began to talk at about 7 months of age. When did your birds begin talking ( if they talk). How old were they when they started talking? Do they use words and phrases in context?
Guest opiegag3
My Pepper (8 month old TAG) began talking a little bit about 2 months ago, but before then, he'd already learned various whistles from both me and my cockatiel. Pepper is starting to use many words in context - he's especially good with "hello" or "hi". Most of his other talking is limited to what I'd call "baby talk"... Guest mykisum
So they didn't know any words when you got them? Both of my birds know their names . My Grey calls my husband "guy" for reasons I can't fathom , she calls me " hey you" and she knows the dogs names and calls Casperella by name. She uses names in an appropriate manner.
