Keegan
Hi Guys, My 6 month old grey shows a lot of affection towards me. Coming running to me when he sees me. Whistles back when I call her name and lets me scratch her and handle her. Alhough my wife treats her with the same affection as I do and we both take turns feeding her and handling her. She dosnt like my wife scratching her and moves away from her. She also lets her scratch her but may suddenly bite. Shell never whistle when my wife calls her and also will always walk away from her. Ill be going away on work for 4 months and my wife will have to handle her alone. Will it make things worse. Or will the grey bond more with her then. Spock
Maggie here, A lot of Grey's are "one person birds", and yes they can change from one person to another at any time. The baby will be ok with your wife, Start a couple of weeks before you leave spending less and less time with your bird and let your wife spend more and more. It's hard, but it will work out in the end...Jayd says "no problem". Maggie, Jayd and Spock...
