My current birdie

I haven't gotten my grey yet, but wanted to share my current bird with everyone. His name is Taz, and he's a Lilac Crowned Amazon (Finch's Amazon). His colors are striking, and his attitude (he DOES have one) is unique. We love him to death:<br><br>Post edited by: boswell2k1, at: 2007/08/09 17:13

He's quite possessive. He loves my mother and myself, and will let my dad handle him, but makes him keep his distance. When he wants attention he'll run across the couch and nip at you. Then he'll perch on your finger and let you rub his head, heck, chest, etc. He'll run and bite my dad when he wants a peanut. He LOVES bacon... I have never seen a bird go hawg wild over something, especially bacon. (we don't let him have it too often)

Taz is a cutie, for sure, and he enjoys bacon, I have to say it is not good for him, I would keep it to an occasional treat, too much fat and salt.

 

So he nips for attention, not sure I like that method but he sure is a looker.

Here's a picture I took of him last night. His tail got scrunched a little while back Can't wait till next year when it grows back in perfect!

Aw, he's so cute, I want one now, but as I only have 2 shoulders, I can't take on a third bird. He is a looker if I ever saw one.
