JillyBeanz Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 What a fantastic video Dave - at 5 minutes and 5 seconds I was willing the branch to snap (you will see what I mean folks)! This video is so interesting and educational, but the poachers are not bothered at all about what they are doing. I know it is a way of life to them, but hopefully these conservationalists will be able to educate them properly. They are absolutely beautiful birds, who show no harm to anybody - they just want to bring their young up and survive......unfortunately, clearly not the reality in Nicaragua. Thumbs up, karma, kudos, kiss kiss, whatever goes! Fantastic Dave - thanks!
SunnyBird Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Thank you Dave, that was very interesting and informative. I learned about some of the native diet (those interesting nuts) and was reminded of the continuing gravity of the situation. Sunshine, my fid, is a yellow crowned amazon and is not on the CITES list, i.e not considered endangered.
Jayd Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Dave as always you excel. What's going on outside our safe abodes, needs to be refreshed in our minds occasionally. Thank you, never stop teaching us...Jayd
Luvparrots Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Interesting video. Had to watch it twice (I know, I should have paid more attention in Spanish class) so I could read the caption and watch the video! Thanks Dave!
