JillyBeanz Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 I've come to browse the forum, but Harvey is getting on my last nerve! He just won't behave! He keeps jumping on the door, trying to chew the door frame. I have managed to type about three words with the constant shifting him from the door, to the desk, only for him to chew the phone, mouse (you all have one, you know). I've tried distracting him, but nothing works! Until now......! Yes, I have gone mad, but click on this link and choose one of the songs on the right - watch your bird just stop! Harvey has sat, listening intently for the last 10 minutes!!! It's like hypnotism!!!! http://www.parrot-bird.com/happy-parrot-music.html I am the music man, I come from down your way!!!!
danmcq Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Well if it works, use it! If you purchase the cd, let us know how that is received. :-)
Luvparrots Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Karma to you Jill, that music brings out the island native girl in me!!! I loved it!!! Haven't tried it on Ana Grey yet but its a winner for a little jungle beat!!!!!    She will love it!!!!
Elvenking Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 I leave reggae, smooth jazz, classic rock or children shows on for Issac during the day when I am gone. The only thing he seems to stop in his tracks over are other bird sounds.
judygram Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Some of that has a good beat to it, makes me want to dance around, I don't know about Josey but I will give it a try and see what happens. Thanks for sharing that link with us Jill.
Brittany Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 hahahah Pepper is looking around like..what in the world:laugh:
Dave007 Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 If you're interested in CDs concerning parrots, these 2 are all types of parrots in the wild. Immediately will gain the attention of a parrot for hours.
crossfit Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 my husband plays bass. He is working on a song right now based on a bird call he heard on our trip to the amazon. When its done I will get a link for you all.
Xtreme575 Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Thanks Jill! It was funny, Paco was on his tree chomping away at the feathers under his crop until the music came on. I stopped, hunched down and is now listening away while grinding his beak happily. I'll mark this site as a favourite for sure!
she Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Charlie is in the aviary at the moment but I will test this out when he comes in later.
Greywings Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Will try that at home I love watching their reactions to new things in their environments.
JillyBeanz Posted April 9, 2010 Author Posted April 9, 2010 Oh I am using this music so much!!! I've got a couple of those CDs somewhere Dave from years ago - it didn't even enter my mind to use them! Great idea - off to dust off the collection (well, it's all downloaded nowadays isn't it)
Luvparrots Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010   When I tried this music on Ana Grey she just looked at me like I was crazy and said "Stop it"! When I finally stopped the music she started wolf whistling, giving kisses and saying "stop it" with a few "woo woos" in between.
pearllyn Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Lol funny Jill! I like the Happy parrot music, and the Parrot Dance! Alfie didn't think so much of it, she was neither up nor down! But I will def try her with it again! Thanks for this Jill!
