Rearranging Yoshi's cage yesterday, I realized that I have had a piece of cuttle bone and a banana flavored mineral block in there for months now.

Yoshi once nibbled on the cuttle bone a bit, but hasn't since then. Never touched the mineral block.

Perhaps I should just take them out? Yoshi eats veggies and pellets, mind you she doesn't eat a ton of them. I've heard that you can grate up cuttle bone and sprinkle it on wet foods for added nutrition. I wonder if it's the same with the mineral block...

I had the same issue with Dayo. A mineral block was in his cage for 6 months...untouched.

I just took it out.

Cheese is a good calcium source and most greys seems to cherish it. :-)

Dark leafy greens like Chard, Spinach and Kale are a great source of easily digested and metabolized calcium. Some cooked grains added to the diet like Quinoa and Millet can fill those needs nicely as well.
