Codys Mom
yep that MBS thing kicked in again today ,I just couldn't say no,adopted me a cute little Senegal from Pet Land ,so no baby grey here and part was hubbys fault because he was with me and he was in awwwwwww to so he paid for the bird and a cage , now I have to get him a few perches and some toys , we named him Pepper and he is 6 months old and he has his first vet appointment tomorrow, he made his self right at home lol I put him in the computer room and he was bouncing all over his cage playing with toys and eating food ,at least I didn't have to pry him off the cage bars ,o we think pepper is a male but I will do a dna test in a few weeks and find out for sure

judygram
I am glad to hear his vet visit went well and you should have no problem getting him to put on a little weight although he doesn't look like he is underweight but then the vet is the one who knows. Greywings
I do love the Senegals, at the Sanctuary where I volunteer we have an aviary with three of the different types of Senegal. That is my favorite cage to work in as they have to help with everything and are totally fearless. They will be in the trash bucket, between my feet, on the rake while I am raking and crawling over me as I work. One will happily head bob and talk to me as she helps me cleaning the cage. katana600
He is just adorable. We got our first bird, a poicephalus -red bellied, Java the same way three years ago. She endeared herself to my husband while I waited in the car. My girls came to get me and begged me to come see. She was begging him for head scratches and attention and I gave in. I had no idea how this tiny little creature would capture my heart. Pepper will get a look at all the good food you offer him and will gain weight in no time. Java weighs 132 grams, so he won't take long at all to catch up. Congratulations on your baby, he will make you laugh openly and often.
