doumii Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 was wondering, i buoght my african grey in late april the breeder told me she was 3 months old now i noticed that her eyes are grey what does this mean?
Guest Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 Hi Doumii welcome to the forum, I am happy you joined. Up until 6 months of ages AG's have dark grey to black eyes. So it doesn't mean anything, I think.
Connie Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 If they just turned grey, then your grey is just growing up. Most greys I've heard of, change from black to yellowish to grey. If you were told your bird was 3 months and she already had grey eyes, I think you were lied to.
judygram Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 Connie, the eyes turn from black to grey to yellow, light yellow eyes are of a mature grey.
