We should all understand the difficulties involved in a site of this magnitude. As Penny has explained, this is really a "MadDaddy" of a site with all the features we have available, not to mention all of the memory we must use for everything we upload! It's amazing that these people are able to keep us going! So, again, a loud, public "THANK YOU!" fore getting us back up and running! May the hackers get a worm, or worms, it'll serve them right!!! I'm sure if I didn't have this forum, alot of the time I'd be doing housework or something equally as tedious! It's a total non-profit, non payment run forum and I think this is something we tend to easily forget. A quick peek at our "competitors" perhaps will tell you in adverts around the outside how to "get rid of that extra belly fat" or "the secret success of how I made a million" - which sometimes distracts from our passion - our parrots! Joolesgreyuk Posted March 11, 2010 Share Posted March 11, 2010 Actually Jill when I first joined this forum we were indeed top of the heap, unfortunately if you key in "parrot forums" now we have now slipped to page 3 with 2 African Grey forums (and other parrot forums) ahead of us. This one does seem to be the busiest one though which does give it the edge and it's free of course. Many others do (as you rightly say) advertise but the ones I have looked at only seem to advertise parrot-related stuff which can be useful. Not wishing to venture away from the main topic here, the tech guys have certainly had their work cut out in the last few weeks and especially this week. Let's hope everything is restored back to how it used to be (with all the features we used to have) soon. It certainly was back up and running quicker than I expected so well done guys. I can't wait to get home, check on Paco, and then get online to see what antics everyone and their fids are up to! Not to mention the invaluable advice...
