Neurotic Birds

Recommended Posts

Our Spock and Joey are very neurotic about the color of their cages and their cages themselves. Spock will not go to any other cage besides his own and his has to be white. Spock is out all the time and has only a sleep cage because that is all he will go into...(it's white) Joey only likes his cage and it is black. We brought in a cage for one of the other birds and Spock and Joey both had a fit! We had to take them out of the room and bring in the cage before they came back in. We brought in a white perch stand and Spock would not go near it. He is just now going to Joey's cage (after all this time) and the last couple of days, he has been landing on the top and eating out of Joey's seeds (sheesh!) Maggie

Beau's cage is tan, Dixie's is white, Blue & Bean's cage is charcoal grey, they don't seem to care. Your flock has discriminating taste and it's obvious. As far as that goes it's obvious they are spoiled. I've read your post on fixing their meals and it's amazing. I have the 5 of them and know what I go through fixing breakfast and it doesn't include mash, can only imagine your flock! Jay and Maggie you continue to be such great inspirations to all of us!
