Chicken bone for Yoshi?

So I have never given Yoshi a chicken bone... but we are having a rotassarie chicken tonight... and I can just pull a bone off for her right? Completly safe?

 

We will see what she thinks!

I think members do give cooked chicken bones to their greys, I have tried it with Beau and like most new things he was afraid of it LOL but he went straight for the chicken, it seems it was just the bone he didn't like.

I have tried chicken and turkey bones with my fids and they don't seem to care for it. But I know others birds seem to love the bones. Let us know how Yoshi likes the chicken bone.

Given all the other options...I would just feel safer not doing this. I have seen people feed their birds some strange things...I have also seen birds get sick. Connection...who knows. I will stick to the tried and true. Milage may vary...some may have had luck with this for years..I know not. Harvey loves his chicken bones - and Stephen they are quite safe for greys - they pull the bones apart and eat the marrow! Another little bit of peace in my household - here's a picture of Harvey in the summer enjoying one:

Yep, most love cracking that leg bone and getting the marrow out of them.

Yoshi was a BIG fan, obliterating the bone into thousands of tiny pieces, lol. Thanks for the comments and the cute picture Jill!

 

Didn't have my camera out for that one, but I put another bone in the fridge for tonight so I'll capture a picture then

My Grey loves chicken bone too. She would ignore the rest of the food if chicken was given to her.
