rayyan
not sure if this should go in the feeding or health. anyway milos been on zupreem fruit blend for a while now but since i have been giving it to him i have noticed his poop smells more than when he was on seed. ealth wize hes fine and he lves the food, just wondering if anyone else had this problem, sometimes i dont think using newspaper helps as this smells when it gets wet but i cant think of anything else to use. let me know if everyones the same. thanks
JillyBeanz
OMG! What a gross subject (but funnily enough one that each and every one of us can relate to!!) I've noticed that Harvey's poop smells (and changes colour) with palm oil. Obviously the fatty element of it comes straight through him and when I go to clean his playstand after a poop (I'm very anal - poop doesn't stay long in my house) I can smell the palm oil. I also swear I can smell broccoli after he's had a good dose of that too - something my husband refutes! I suppose anything that is an alteration to dietary measures will always smell differently - and I don't think this is anything to worry about One thing is for sure - a transition from seed to pellet is a good thing! Greywings
Just remember to keep feeding some fresh veggies and a variety along with the pellets to avoid hypervitaminizing and the problems that go along with that. Moderation in all things will work here. Yes the color and smell varies with what is ingested with all of my birds.

Luvparrots
Ana Grey eats Pretty Bird Specifically for African Greys and lots of fresh veggies and fruit. She smells fine. I clean my fids' cages daily so I have never noticed a smell.
Xtreme575
My TAG is also eating the Pretty Bird species specific pellet, and their bean mash along with veggies, I haven't noticed a smell from the pellets or mash mix, but I do notice that the broccoli can sometimes make a difference...
