HeatherStrella
My friend Robin has these babies in her back yard. I couldn't really see mom very well other than her bright red chest. The babies' beak kinda looks like some kind of finch...anybody know??
judygram
Heather, I don't know what kind of bird those babies are but they sure are cute. It looks like the nest is in some kind of planter and on the ground too isn't it, thats what it looks like. Maybe someone else knows what they are.
HeatherStrella
They're in a wind chime/planter thingy...I stood on a ladder about 15 feet high When I was up on the ladder, they'd duck down in the nest but when I got off the ladder, one of them would stretch his little head up.. judygram
How cute, a kitty planter, and the babies are curious too to see who was looking in on them. I hope someone identifies them for us, I would like to know what they are too.
dblhelix
Wow, they are cute! I am not familiar enough with wild bird species to ID them so young...maybe after they feather out a bit it will be easier, or if you can get a pic of the parrents!
