bigbird519
today was great! mojo sitting around makin all kinds of noise, some sound like dog calls, and alot of mimic sounds! i had a chance to stay home and watch the interactions of him and my wife. what an amazing progress he has made with her. until the last couple of days, mojo would try to bite her.... alot. she would not respond at all in a negative way. and now she is on a road with him that is full of trust. she has just continued to talk to him from outside of the cage, and today she got him out and was able to work with him for about an hour. he did bite her once (just to test her, i think). but she just put him down on his play stand and continued working with him. i am so excited to see the joy that she is able to experience with mojo! we are using alot of posotive reinforcment (he loves the crushed up almonds) and he would leave his play stand and fly to her even though i was in the room. i can not explain the joy and relief that we both felt! MOJO IS A GREYT KID!
judygram
Thats great to hear and it provides encouragement to others who have a grey that is bonded to one person that a good relationship with the spouse can be achieved thru hard work and perseverance. I can imagine that is a good feeling and I hope it continues to be so.
Luvparrots
What great news to hear that Mojo has accepted your wife as part of the flock! Way to go Mojo's mommy!!
JillyBeanz
I laughed at the title of this thread and thought "Ah, some husband appreciating his fabulous wife". Yeah - righto! It's great that Mojo is getting along with your wife - you're doing everything you can to make Mojo a well socialised bird. Thanks for the update
Acappella
I'm so glad to hear this update. I know you were concerned about Mojos' clear preference of you. You may always be his favourite, but with the good work you and your wife are doing, he will be a well socialized bird who gets along with the whole flock. Well done.
