Lex Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Kya has lost and regrown a few primary feathers but one the trail one looks like it is falling out and now has snapped but not all the way through. she can fly but it does get in the way. now what should i do? go get her checked? leave it till it falls out? if it does snap and the shaft is left in there will it be ok will it fall out ok?. Not sure what to do really i no if i`m not sure the best thing to do is to take her to get looked at. BUT the stress might be worse as she hasn`t been to see a vet yet!. Please advise many thanks Worried Dave.

Dave007 Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 It usually takes more than a few days for it to happen. The feather is probably cracked and is slowly dying which will make it fall off or pulled out by your bird.
