dhorje
This place used to be an abandoned mining pool. Recently the local council transformed this place into a beautiful park and attracts lots of morning joggers. Since my wife and daughter were away for 4 days, I took Cocoa to this park for morning walk. This is our 1st visit to the park this morning. I did 2 recalls to the end of our walk. The recalls went awry. Cocoa flew past me on the 1st recall. I tried again and got the same result. She responded to my command but it seemed that she was flying away from me. No more 3rd trial. I headed home. I was wondering what went wrong. Could it be she panicked because the surrounding was totally strange to her? As I was driving home I was analyzing that Cocoa was facing the sun when she flew towards me. Could it be the sun had blinded her and she couldn't see me? Luvparrots
Great photos. It is so bright and sunny! You might be right about the glare from the sun blinding Cocoa's vision. He is so lucky to have such great sunny days and be able to enjoy the sunlight so much.
Janfromboone
CoCoa's such a lucky bird!! Those look like fancy bird perches. They must have been expecting Cocoa at the park.
Acappella
A beautiful bird in a beautiful setting. I'm curious, does Cocoa talk or vocalize at all on these outings, or is she too busy looking around? What did the humans in the new park think of her? Cocoa did vocalize at the outings but she would keep quiet when we stopped to chat with strangers. Cocoa always attracts onlookers because she is the only bird that walks around.
