Hi everyone,

HAVING JUST BROUGHT OUR BABY HOME ON FRIDAY,ON SATURDAY MORNING I NOTICE SOME FEATHERS LYING ON THE FLOOR THESE LOOKED LIKE BABY DOWN FEATHERS I HAVE NOTICE HER PREENING HER SELF QUITE A BIT WHICH I THINK IS NORMAL,ON SUNDAY MORNING AGAIN THERE WAS A COUPLE,SHE IS COVERED AT NIGHT,DOES THIS HAPPEN DURING SETTLING IN PERIOD I HOPE SHE IS'T PULLING FEATHERS AT NIGHT.CAN SOMEONE PLEASE ADVISE.

Hi Davie & Pat - absolutely normal! You will find enough of these soon to stuff a pillow - and it doesn't get any better as they get older - the feathers just get bigger!! They loosen these up all of the time and you will find them absolutely everywhere - you will never have used the vacuum so much in your life! :)

Jill is right, if they are the white fluffy feathers that are like "tumbleweeds", then get used to them! I'm forever watching them float past me, if your babies are anything like mine, they will start chasing the feathers around for fun soon.

"Tumbleweeds" I like that, yes all bird owners have them, they are a constant nuisance so get used to them, Josey has looked at some of hers like she didn't know where they came from, maybe they were out to get her.:huh: :silly:

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the reply's i don't mind these small white feathers at all i'd gladly stuff pillows with them,i'm the paranoid dad thanks again davie.
