natural perches

Hi everyone,

 

I'm wanting to use natural branches as perches but unsure what type of trees other than apple and crab apple trees living in scotland,can anyone shed some light on this matter.what kind do you use?

I have a maple tree branch with the bark peeled off inside Eckos cage. I soaked it in vinegar and hot water for about an hour and then I let it dry in the hot sun before I put it in his cage.

Davie - I have a java branch in Harvey's cage. Already treated and safe from the manufacturer. They are tough, durable, easily cleaned and best of all great for his feet with the different sizes offered all over the branch.

 

I do go and get apple branches during the summer - but it's a right faff.

 

Great idea Caitlin - loved the bit about the hot sun - Davie and I are from the UK...........yip - there lies the problem!!! Send some sun to us :laugh:
