Lena
Hello everybody! I’m new to this forum, and I have a question about the light. I’m sorry for my English, I don’t speak very well English, and I have no friends to ask. I want only good things for my bird, I don’t want to harm her in any way. I have an African Grey, and I recently bought special light with UVA + UVB, I know the bird needs sun, for vitamin D3 to digest and even her cage is next to the window but UVA UVB don’t come through the glass, so she need this light. My question is: How far from the bird this light should be? I’m afraid the light too close or too far? Also maybe somebody can tell me approximately how many hours per day she needs this light? I made picture for you to see how far my lamp from my baby, is this O.K.? or too close or too far? Thank you everybody who can give me any advise or suggestion , I’m very appreciated. Dave007
The distance is pretty good ( approx 3 to 4 ft ) although positioning it a bit higher so that the light is aimed slightly downward would be good. Time----about one hour a day between 10am to 2pm
Lena
Dave007 thank You very much! Your information is very helpful! I’m going to position light from above the cage to aim downward (like a natural sun). Thank you! {Feel-good-000200BB}
