Alfie has jumped the border and come to her spiritual home (England). She's just decided that she wants to talk like the ones in that neighbouring country (England) rather than in a Scottish accent.

 

Obviously in England we all talk like Dame Judy Dench and "her Madge" and Alfie wants to be one of us
