christina13 Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Today in the hour and 15 min that I've been awake, Marvin has come out on his door 4 times! I'm so happy and he's blabbering away in there now. Seems like more progress today than the entire time we've had him. The first 2 times he's come out while I was in his room, and even let me come near him, he was trying to feed me. I've told him before if he come out I'd let him throw up on me so i did:unsure:. The other times I just looked in the room and he was hanging on his door, last time really far out too. Yay:lol:. I hope this is the right spot. I will keep posting updates. We should be going to the vet sometime before Feb. And he and Merlin are getting some toys tomorrow. Maybe he won't attack them this time.. Here are some pics. The first is his weird habit. christina13 Posted January 10, 2010 Author Posted January 10, 2010 Here's the other. This was the other day.
danmcq Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Congratulations on the progress! You are doing a GreYt job of being patient and loving allowing Marvin to explore and interact at his pace and safety zone that is obviously becoming more and more open. Karma to you!
Luvparrots Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Great pictures of Marvin and Merlin, Christina. Good going! Can't wait to hear more!
pearllyn Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Congratulations on the progress Christina! I love the top pic, he is just so cute keeking out of the door like that - you'll have him eating out of your hand (so to speak) in no time!
ecodweeb Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 he looks very content hanging in his door there
Acappella Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 Congrats Christina. I have an almost identical picture of Dorian when he decided it was safe to poke his head out of his cage, and I remember how excited I was that he was feeling safe enough to do it. I know your love and patience will pay off.
Greywings Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 How wonderful he is beginning:cheer: to feel safe, good job!
