Dave007
The best thing to try and do is to contact the manufacturer and explain about the info you want. If you're fortunate to get a phone #, use it. Sometimes they'll not only send you whatever info you want but they'll also send you a new set of directions concerning use. People do that for kitchen appliances, cameras, home entertainment centers etc. You can also type in the company's name in your PC and put in the model # and see if any info comes with it. So far, you haven't named off the name or model # of your heater. Some here may be familiar with it or know how to get info on it.

she
My guess is that at 12 years old you will not get any information on the heater.I would not use it to be on the safe side.

ecodweeb
I was going to say it might be too old for it to be used, but Wikipedia tells me that Teflon has been around since the 40s and was part of the Manhattan Project in Oak Ridge, TN, and was first sold on cookware in 1961. when in doubt, don't use it. Dave007
The fumes from PTFE have killed thousands of parrots. PTFE can be found in old stoves, oil heaters, old hair dryers, curling irons, some dishwashers and other everyday household appliances. I don't think it would be a good idea.
