:P How We Survived Spock's First Christmas Eve:

Cast of Characters:

Spock: The Grinch

Salsa: The Living Christmas Tree

Joey: The Narrator

Freddy: Timmy

Tango: Scrooge

Pistachio: Battered Christmas Wreath

Rollo: Canine Vacuum

Buddy and the Cockatiels: Chorus

What a Christmas it was. We put a tree and the birds took it down for us later on that night...I hung stringed popcorn and cranberries around the house and all night long we squirted and cracked our way around as we walked on smashed cranberries and crushed popcorn that the birds had dropped.

Buddy and the Cockatiels provided the background music but we never heard that version of Jingle Bell Rock with cuss words from Buddy...

Pistachio kept saying "STOP THAT" to Buddy as he sang his version of Christmas Carols. Maggie added a High C as Tango snapped her bra strap as she walked by.

Joey in the background called out to all "Spock, come here," "Salsa, NO BAD", "Joey wants a kiss", [smack], [rasberry sound], "Good water", "Do the HOOOOOKIE...."

Freddy stood at the top of his cage with his wings spread, trying to look like a Christmas Angel but looking more like a plucked Thanksgiving Turkey...

Spock didn't steal Christmas, he just stole all the food he could find and pulled all the ribbons off the packages.

Salsa had a couple plastic bulbs hung on her and she walked around proudly as a living Christmas tree...

Christmas was over before Christmas Eve afternoon....

Rollo, the dog, scurried merrily around the floor, gobbling up fallen chunks of broccoli, cranberries, carrots and AVI Cakes...

At 9pm, with all tucked in, we said our prayers of thanks....:S

(Disclaimer: No birds or dogs were harmed in this production, other than the director and producer, Jay and Maggie...)

What a GreYt mental image that story creates Jay.

I would have loved to see a photo or video of that scene. :-)

Thanks for sharing another wonderful story. You always keep us entertained with your writing flare.
