drew137
Hi all! My name is Andrew from Cape Town, South Africa. I got my little baby "Peanut" just less than 2 weeks ago. I forgot to formally say hello! I've found the information here so helpful and so far my little baby is settling in nicely! Below is a pic of her

drew137
Thanks everyone for the welcomes and lovely comments about Peanut, she is getting so much more comfortable at home! I've started taking her with me for walks around the house, she hasn't figure out how to sit on my shoulder yet but in good time. She likes sitting on my hand and being held up against my chest, maybe it's because of all the new sounds! I'm going Christmas shopping tomorrow for her and I don't know who is more excited me or her! At what age did fellow grey owners start taking there loved one out the house and in the car to the shops etc? Is sooner necessarily better?

Post edited by: drew137, at: 2009/12/22 19:

katana600
Peanut is a beauty. I love the little escape hatch on the top of her cage. She is a lucky little girl to have you pampering her already with Christmas gifts, it will be lovely to watch her tearing into her goodie boxes. Thanks for coming to join us to share your life with Peanut. We look forward to more pictures, great job finding your way to posting pictures already, thanks. JillyBeanz
Ah, very cute! I don't take Harvey to the shops - but do take him out in the car to my parent's house etc and to the beach and for walks. I've done this since I brought him home and had him trained with his Aviator (a harness is an absolute MUST if you are taking him out).. The earlier the better for socialisation - but remember the harness!
Luvparrots
Oh thanks for showing us more of Peanut. The sooner the better for getting Peanut use to a harness and the outdoors, weather permitting of course!
