Brittany
Pepper has been having very black eyes lately -- fully dilated etc. It's not when she's sleeping.. but lately when we go and get her, even when we bring her downstairs they are like this. Her eyes are not usually like this. Is this normal? Or should we be concerned?
Talon
Hmm. Don't know, How is the lighting? Hopefully others will chime in with more knowledge.
Brittany
Its a little dark where she normally sits (although the light is on), but the black eyes last for awhile. Ugg! Im all paranoid
Luvparrots
Move her into a more lighted area and see if her eyes are different.
ecodweeb
Yeah first test would be to take her into a very bright room and see if her eyes stay dilated, if so I'd probably have her checked out by a vet. If they contract to adjust for the light it probably is nothing to worry about.
Greywings
Can I ask how old she is? Does she have any trouble seeing or is she bumping into things more frequently? Please get back to use on how those eyes responded to more light, even a little flash light should produce a pupil reaction.
