Lowest Temp

Rob and I were wondering what the lowest temp that our CAG Baby should be subjected to in the home? We're trying to figure out our heating situation.

Really? It's that easy? LOL I'm comfortable at 70 and Rob is comfortalbe at 60, so I guess anywhere in between there the 3 of us can both be comfortbale. I didn't think it would be that easy as the CAG is a tropical bird. Thanks.

If your bird is cold you will see a fluffy shivery bird. You can always place a ceramic heat lamp near the cage for extra warmth if some one is around to monitor the safety of such and always leave one side of the cage for your baby to get out of the heat if he wants.

66 to 71 degrees in a non drafty area. Your bird should be kept away from floor vents that are sending up heat. That type of heat eats up the humidity in the room and causes dry, itchy skin.
