Joolesgreyuk
...if I hear Beau say "dance Beau" one more time  Just got back for a lunch break and it's all I've heard for the past hour, it's not so much what he is saying but it's loud and very obviously my voice, it sounds blood-curdling to me GRRR
JillyBeanz
Ha Ha Ha! We wish for it to happen, prompt them to speak by repeating it a million times a day and when it happens BANG - we get sick of them and tell them to shut up! :woohoo: This is reminiscent of the kids though isn't it!!! We've gone full circle!! Harvey's not saying much in public - I think he's shy like his mammy  and therefore prefers to talk in private!! Joolesgreyuk
It's cringe worthy Jill. Ehem, you? Shy?? {Feel-good-0002006E}
Luvparrots
I hear you Julie. Ana Grey has decided that all she wants to say right now is "What doing" not the "What are you doing" I recited over and over and she learned beautifully, but "What doing" her shorthand I guess. Driving me bonkers!!! :woohoo:  And l o n g pierce wolf whistles!!!!!
she
I taught Charlie to say Hello my mate and he never stopped saying it for over a week.I felt like screaming.
JillyBeanz
I think in parrot's cases that the old saying "be careful what you wish for" really comes into play!!! Saying that - I can't wait until Harvey un-mutes the button and starts saying more than "hello" - and only when HE feels like it!!!
danmcq
LOL Julie and others!! Well, don't worry the word(s, sound(s) or a mixture of both will change. I don't know what I was thinking, but we have sirens go by our house. Dayo starting imitating them. I started saying 911!! in response...... Now his favorite thing to do is say "911!!", then wait for me to make the siren sound. Then he reverses it and does the siren and I say "911!!". Well it was pretty cool for a few days. Now it does become trying at times, so I try to change the game by asking him to dance, whistle, go poop........ANYTHING BUT 911!!!!! :pinch: So, I feel ya!!! Joolesgreyuk
 Janet I can take the wolf whistles, it's the smoke alarm I find too piercing and I'm not sure what Beau is trying to say but he does that when I'm cooking  That's cool Dan but you are right it does get irritating. Greywings
Pookie likes to do smoke alrm, video game sounds and a piercing whistle-eek. My foster Molluccan Too does a convincing power drill and presses his beak to any surface to do the sound.
