Supernova Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 I took advantage of the clear night sky, last night and got my 16in scope out for the first time this year. It weighs 68kg so not easy. Anyway here are the results from over 80 pics of the Moon. I have selected the best ones, the ones I like. Hope you like them, I used various settings on the camera from 80ASA to 3,600ASA and 30th sec shutter speed to 1/400th sec, also various aperture settings, if anybody needs the tech info I have it in memory. Also various magnifications. A very close up shot, looks better through the eyepiece, note the shadows of the mountains I can see them move as the Moon moves around the ecliptic. And last but not least. I took them of the similar place on the Moon because that was the best viewing site at the time. Hope you ike them. Bernie.

Post edited by: Supernova, at: 2009/12/04 19:37
JillyBeanz Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Oh my goodness Bernie!! I can nearly see the little man walking about!! These shots are magnificent - it's scary to think how far that the moon really is away - and how fantastic your shots are.
pearllyn Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Excellent shots Bernie! I'm gonna have to dust off my telescope and get it out again! Thanks for the inspiration!

Supernova Posted December 6, 2009 Author Posted December 6, 2009 Thanks for the nice comments The quality is very bad on the pics but when you look through the scope it is Cristal clear and sharp.
