Luvparrots
I like to keep dried fruits and vegetables in my fids' cages. But dried fruits and vegetables are quite expensive so ...... I decided to make my own!! I'm in the experimenting process but I wanted to share my first efforts with you!!!!! Ana Grey trying out dried apple with cinnamon sprinkles: Ana Grey with dried orange rings, yum, yum!! I'm anxious to see how this new endeavor goes!! So far Ana Grey and Sully both love the dried apples!

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2009/12/03 01:
katana600
Wow, great job for being new to the dehydrating. I haven't used mine yet for the fruits and vegetables, but your stock looks yummy. I will have to get mine out and give it a try. Thanks for the picture, Ana Grey sure looks like she is enjoying herself.
JillyBeanz
I have never ever seen one of those machines before (have I led a sheltered life!!!). Janet - these look absolutely fantastic. The colours are so prominent - they are usually completely lost when you buy the product!! As well as being cheaper you are safe in the knowledge that the product is 100% natural with nothing added. Karma to you for introducing me to a what? dehydrator!!

Joolesgreyuk
Like Jill, I've never seen these machines, what a great idea and your taste tester seems to agree.
Luvparrots
This particular machine came with four drying trays and will make beef jerky if anyone is interested.
judygram
I have a big one that my hubby uses for deer jerky but will have to get it out and try it for some vegetables and fruits, thanks for the reminder Janet.
