If an African Grey loses a red tail feather, does it grow back?

If you look at the base of their tail (if your baby allows) you will see new ones ready to pop through.

 

At the moment Harvey has one of his main tail feathers that is clearly coming out and at the base there is a tiny one in the waiting.

As Jill has said.

 

All feathers when damaged or molted out grow back.

 

The only exception to this, is if they have been a plucker and actually damaged the follicle itself.
