CuteMandaPanda
As of yet, Baby isn't bathing. It has been recommended to mist him with 100% Aloe juice. At WalMart, we found 99.8% Aloe Vera Juice. It says it's made with Organically Grown, Cold Processed Aloe, Full Strength, NO Sugars, Starches or Thickeners. Is this the right product? I wanted to make sure before I tried it. I will be hopefully misting him from within his cage. Is there anything else I should know before using the Aloe Juice in a mister to bathe Baby? Also, I've seen it mentioned a few times. Palm Oil? What can you tell me about it? Any info would be greatly appreciated! =)
judygram
That is the exact product and you can use it full strength from the bottle. Red palm oil is beneficial to their diet, it is something they would have in their natural habitat, you can find it at www.swansonsvitamins.com

CuteMandaPanda
Just thought I'd mention that Baby decided yesterday was the day to take a bath. He did it on his own in his water dish. Just as cute as usual. I used the opportunity to mist with the Aloe juice while he was wet and in the mood to bath. He was soaked by the time we were finished. I wonder how he would feel about being in an empty tub and getting Aloe misted. Maybe eventually we'd be able to graduate to an actual bath or shower? judygram
Thats great to hear that Baby decided to take a bath and you did the right thing in taking that opportunity to give an aloe misting, bet he felt better afterward. You can take him with you when you shower and just let him sit on the shower rod to see if he wants to join you, at least he can be getting used to being there. CuteMandaPanda
Actually, we try to bring him to the bathroom whenever we shower. We have a T-perch and a PVC perch that we keep him on. We tell him where we are going so that he knows which room it is that he's on his way to. We haven't tried putting him on the shower rod yet. Sometimes he's very vocal when we're in the shower chatting and whistling. Other times, he's quiet without a peep. I figured it's best for him to be comfortable with the room before we really encourage him to be any bolder than that. I did put him in the empty bathtub today so that he could inspect it. His "before-mommy" says that she used to fill the tub with shallow water and he'd bathe in it. He didn't seem freaked out by being in the bathtub. I don't know when I'll try putting him in it with water in it.
