mandapandah
What do you guys think about this cage? It is 40"x30"x75" including the playstand, 47" inside height. Here is the website > HERE! Kirra is 7 weeks old and coming home in 1-2 weeks. Should we put a "mat" or "pad" on the bottom of the cage in case she falls? We are already going to keep the perches low to the bottom but are still worried she may hurt herself!
judygram
Yes that cage is fine, plenty big enough for your grey to flap his/her wings and stretch. I agree with your idea of putting something soft on the bottom to cushion any falls until he/she gets more adept at climbing.

I was trying to find a large cage but not one that would take up our whole room (it's only 14'x9'!!!). Haha! Does anyone have any suggestions on what to use for a mat/pad?! judygram
You can use towels or an old blanket, just put some newspaper on top to catch most of the poops and wash it when it gets soiled.
