Well her results came back that she is well within the normal range on all her tests so she is healthy just chewing on those flights on one side but I am giving her aloe vera juice baths and putting aloe gel on it twice a day. I know this will take time but I am optimistic she will eventually stop it.

What excellent news Judy - I am so pleased for you (both)!

I am sure that you will work things through with Josey - without having to resort to the collar - fingers crossed xxxxx

It is a relief to know her tests are all normal. If it is just a lingering habit, I wonder if there is any other kind of crunchy or brittle item that she might satisfy the same type of sensation externally than to chew the feather shaft? I guess I am thinking about it in people terms, you know like people who pop bubble wrap, or snap their gum? Since she is otherwise happy and healthy, you will figure something out.
