pearllyn
Hi Folks, I just wanted to ask a quick question. I know caffeine is bad, but is it ok to let Alfie have a wee sup of caffeine free tea? Thanks in advance. Lyn & Alf xx
Talon
I wouldn't worry about it. There is not enough caffeine in it to hurt them from a tiny sip or two.
judygram
The only thing wrong with a tiny sip or two is it turns into another and then another until they have had too much, I just never got into the habit of letting my fids have a taste of everything I eat and drink. pearllyn
Thanks folks. I don't let her try everything (much to her disgust!) but the morning cuppa is "our time" as we're often the first ones up, and on a couple of occasions I've left her like, a teaspoonful in the bottom of the cup! She loves it, and it could become a regular thing!! Thanks. xx
rbpittman
Dixie occassionally wants to drink my coffee as well and I promise you it's not the unleaded stuff! To make her feel like she's drinking my coffee I give her a teaspoon of warm water in an espresso cup that is brown. She thinks she's drinking coffee with me...lol. pearllyn
Lol Robin - I've tried that with Alfie - she won't have any of it! I only have one cup a day anyway,, so it's not an issue any other time, and she's not interested in David's coffe! x
katana600
That is nice way to start your day, a bit of girl time quietly sipping tea.
pearllyn
It is Dee, although it's not always as idyllic as you paint it - usually it's' me trying to sup my tea with one hand, while Alfie is on the other doing "the lean"! Wouldn't swap it for anything! It's just her and me and it's the only time I have her undevided attention at the minute, her being a Daddy's girl and all! x
