My three year old poicephalus hen Java speaks infrequently, but very clearly with certain phrases. I have noticed some distinct repeated chatter that I could not understand. Two weeks ago, I bought a digital recorder. There was one phrase in particular I was trying to decipher. When I put it on slow speed playback, I was astonished to hear "I WANT OUT". The aha moment. It is always when I am cooking so I thought it was food related. LOL. Now when she says it, I repeat it gleefully and if I can, I let her right out. In just two times of getting her message through, she refined the jumble so now it is plain for all to hear. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
